Out of the Archives: 200 Years of Queer Stories in Ottawa

Art tells the stories history too often leaves out.

Join West Side Pride for Out of the Archives, a unique art exhibition exploring Ottawa's 2SLGBTQIA+ history through creativity, storytelling, and community expression.

Through art, we shine a light on the stories, experiences, and voices that have too often been overlooked or left out of the historical record. This exhibition invites visitors to discover hidden histories, celebrate the people and communities who helped shape our past, and explore the connections between our history and the world we live in today.

Whether you're part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, an ally, an art enthusiast, or simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome. Come experience the power of art to preserve stories, spark conversation, build understanding, and ensure our history continues to be seen, shared, and celebrated.
