Out of the Archives: 200 Years of Queer Stories in Ottawa
This November, West Side Pride invites you to journey through 200 years of LGBTQ+ history in Ottawa/Bytown with a free, family-friendly exhibition celebrating resilience, visibility and community. Bringing together local artists, archival treasures, oral histories and community memories, Out of the Archives will explore the people, stories and milestones that have shaped Ottawa's queer history—from the city's early days and Indigenous Two-Spirit traditions to the struggles and triumphs that continue to shape our community today. Join us for art, storytelling, music, performances, trivia and more as we honour the past, celebrate the present and imagine our future together.
